The Scottish gallery of modern art boast two buildings of modern and contemporary art as well as a sculpture garden. This is a great attraction is one of Edinburgh’s must see and is free of charge.
Edinburgh Zoo is home to our very own giant pandas Tian Tain and Yaung Guang along with the UK’s only Koalas. This is a great day out with the family or friends with over 7 different attractions and plenty of events to keep all ages entertained.
The Edinburgh Society of Musicians is an organisation which promotes practical music-making in Edinburgh. It has been in existence since 1887. Chamber music recitals are given every Saturday evening at 7.30pm from early October until the end of June
The Dean Village situated near to Edinburgh’s city centre is a small medieval village that hides in a valley, making it a very quiet, pleasant walk, Perfect for getting away from the busy noise of the city centre. There are also a number of walking trails that lead to the water of Leith and to some small waterfalls.
Tyne Castle home to Heart of Midlothian Football club is only 1.5km away.
